From the Pastor’s Desk
Thursday of this week is set aside in our country as a special day to give thanks. Giving thanks is something that should be a part of our daily life. Our lives have become so busy that giving thanks may not have the placement that it should. We just need to take the time to look closely at the many blessings that we experience each day. This message is once again presented in our Gospel, that we have on this Thanksgiving Day. The ten lepers are healed, but only one returned. Jesus asked “where are the other nine.” After receiving the wonderful gift of healing only one returned to give thanks. It is hard to imagine that only one individual returned to give thanks after being healed from such a terrible disease. The story reminds us that we may also imitate this behavior and not express our full appreciation for the many wonderful experiences and the people that come our way. Let us all take full advantage of this coming Thanksgiving Day to express our gratitude to all who have enriched our lives in so many ways. God is so good. Let us take the time to express our thanks for all we have and all we can give.

Our Thanksgiving Mass will be at 9:00 AM. Please try to join us, as we gather in prayer to begin our day of celebration.

Peace,

Fr. Ron
