PARISH PICNIC UPDATE
Come one, come all, and join your fellow parishioners and school families in cleaning up the grounds for the picnic.
Join us on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 9 a.m. on the bell tower lot. Bring your gardening tools and sunscreen to pull some weeds, spread some mulch, and generally clean up to make sure our grounds are at their best for our neighborhood!
The Plant Booth is now called Garden Thyme and is collecting new garden tools, gloves, backyard ornaments, etc., as well as plant startings, bulbs, and plants. There will soon be a box in the back of church for garden items — NOT PLANTS. Please do not bring plants to church; save the plants until set-up on June 11 or picnic morning. We can also pick up, if needed. While you’re getting your own garden started, consider picking up an an additional plant or hanging basket for the booth. Contact Ginny Wunderlich at 314-481-1643 with questions.
Keep those goodies coming for Ring-A-Bottle Booth! This booth accepts toys, books, small household items (no glass, please). Contact Bridgette Fyvie at 314-477-9008 with questions. Don’t forget to save us the cost of mailing by picking up your (and/or maybe your neighbor’s) picnic envelope from the back of church.
Thanks to our generous SSP Picnic Booth Sponsors who contributed more than $5,000 last year to help underwrite the cost of the picnic! If your family or business would like to be a picnic sponsor, please pick up a flyer located near all church doors. Complete the form on the back and return to the rectory. Contact Gina Joly at 314-882-8762 or email@example.com for more information.
Calling all Bakers! It’s time to break out those cake pans, cupcake papers, & cookie sheets. Baked donations are needed for the SSP Parish Picnic Cake Walk. Not a Baker? You can still help! Store bought donations are welcome or donate your time by working a booth! For your convenience, cake boxes and cookie bags will be available at the back starting Saturday, June 1st. For questions please contact Heather Mattingly 314-537-5208 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please leave donations, the evening before the picnic on June 11th or the morning of the picnic. Many Thanks!
