ST. STEPHEN PROTOMARTYR SCHOOL welcomed its first students in 1927.
We currently serve just over 200 students, from Preschool through Grade 8, with an average class size of 18 students. Our faculty is a great mix of experienced and newer teachers. And SSP’s mascot is a shark named … Sharkey!
OUR DAY begins at 7:55 a.m.
Students attend 8 a.m. Mass at least once per week. Families are always welcome to join us!
Students K-8 have P.E. class twice per week, vocal music class once per week, and Spanish class two or three times per week (depending on grade level).
Two counselors are on campus – one full-time, one part-time – to provide individual and group support as needed.
Our lunch program is staffed through Food Service Consultants and offers two entrée options and a salad daily.
General dismissal is at 3 p.m. Half-day Preschool students leave at 12:15 p.m.
Extended care is available from 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
(Additional fees apply.)
OUR CAMPUS is easily accessible and also right in the middle of a walkable residential neighborhood.
Many of our students walk or ride their bikes to school.
Our buildings are both welcoming and secure,
equipped with access-card technology and 24-hour surveillance.
Parents and grandparents are invited to volunteer during the school day
as lunch and recess monitors.
