During Lent all Catholics will be invited to offer their feedback about the future of the archdiocese. The Disciple Maker Index survey will be released on Ash Wednesday, March 2. Through the survey, Catholics will be invited to share their thoughts and hopes for the future of the Catholic Church in St. Louis.
The survey will be available online and in paper form. The survey will be confidential and anonymous. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. All answers are multiple-choice. Question categories include: a person's parish connections and Catholic journey; the parish community; the role of the pastor and the bishop; and assessment of the parish and school.
It is
very important that everyone participate in the survey since the results will give the archdiocese a picture of the local church. The survey is expected to be a driving force in deciding what will happen within the archdiocese.
After the surveys are completed and analyzed by the Catholic Life Institute, there will be two meetings in the fall at our parish to hear the results of the survey and to give input on draft models before they are finalized.
Please continue to pray for all involved in this process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Father Ron, one of the Key Parish Leaders (Gary Stoff, Brooks Goedeker, Christy Biundo, Leigh Manalang, or Andrew Rettig), or me.
