Dear Parents, teachers, and friends of SSP School,
Happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend. The weekend started for our students at noon yesterday. It was great to see so many of you during the Parent-Teacher conferences last night and this morning. Thanks for stopping by the Office and visiting with me.
Next week is an abbreviated week (a short week doesn’t seem to apply when the day off is in the middle of the week!). We will not be in session the day after Halloween (Wed. 11/1) in Observance of All Saints Day. I am honoring the requests of the PTO and BOE members during our calendar planning sessions during the Spring of 2023. That said, we will celebrate the Feast of All Souls at our All School Mass on Thursday (11/2). Children will have the opportunity to bring a picture of deceased family members during the Offertory. All pictures will be returned after Mass.
Sixth-grade parents are encouraged to visit us on Thursday afternoon from 1:15-2:00 p.m. Your children will be participating in a Living Saint Museum.
High School Application Intent forms for 8th graders should be completed by November 13, 2023. Students should go to https://www.archstl.org/
Finally, we are on the cusp of another calendar page turn. During the month of November, we practice the Colossian virtue of Thankfulness. It is never too early for me to thank families who entrust their children to our care. We know the tremendous financial sacrifices you make to ensure that your children receive a quality, faith-based education. We are also extremely thankful to those families who volunteer at recess, in the cafeteria, at school fundraising events, and those who serve on the PTO, the Board of Education, and the Strategic Planning Committees, among others. These are often thankless tasks, but we appreciate all that you do!
Have a blessed weekend and God’s peace…
