Dear Parents, teachers, and friends of SSP School,
Happy Friday and Happy Weekend! December sure got here in a heartbeat! Only 10 more school days before Christmas break.
We appreciate your constant support; we appreciate all that you do that makes this such a viable and vibrant school community. Thank you for financially supporting us on Giving Tuesday. Thank you to the first parent volunteers who allowed us to give some of our hardworking dedicated teachers a lunch break on a rotating basis. This gesture means more than you will ever know. Thank you to the BOE for brainstorming this effort.
Big Girl Scout event tonight, S’Mores with Santa. I hope it cools down a bit to get us in the holiday spirit. It is hard to imagine it is Christmas with the temperature standing at 75 degrees. I hope to see you tonight.
Donut Sunday this weekend after Mass. Stop by and get a piece of SSP nostalgia with a free desk-chair combo. Plenty still available. Thank you to those families who collected their own sets after school this afternoon.
Finally, my deepest and sincerest apologies for the late notice about the dress-down day for our first living advent wreath prayer service. Long story, I am sorry to cause undue stress, I will work on more advance notices in the future. This Monday (12/6) and next Monday (12/13) students may wear green tops (shirts, sweaters, hoodies) with their uniform bottoms for the 2nd and 3rd edition of our Living Advent Wreath Prayer service. We are blessed to have this wonderful weather right now (in the 40s at the next service on Monday) so that we can gather, outside, socially distanced as a community.
Have a wonderful weekend and Advent Blessings for your family,
