Dear parents, teachers, and friends of SSP School,
Happy yet rainy Friday, and welcome to the weekend. Rain, rain, go away. I have way too many projects next week, many of which involve touching (and mowing) grass! Mrs. Sturgill has circled this week on the calendar several weeks ago. I hope many of you have some awesome plans for the upcoming week. I’ve talked to quite a few students these past few days. It sounds like many of you have travel plans. Enjoy your trips and return safely to us!
Likewise, I know several of our teachers and staff have their own plans for the next 220+ hours. They/we look forward to this break as much or more as our students. We all need a chance to rest, reset, and recharge. Please give them this time off for themselves. This means the world to all of us.
Today, we had a STUCO fundraiser to support the “Super Thomas” Lorenz family. Thank you for your generosity. The family is greatly touched by your outreach and support. Thank you also to the Dowd family for their generous donation.
The Sunday Sunset Family Mass is still going strong. “Super Thomas” will be the focus of our prayers this Sunday. As we gather for prayer and community, people are asked to wear purple or blue, Thomas’ favorite colors.
We will have a few substitute teachers at the end of Spring Break. We welcome a new member to our community. Erin Birk, a veteran teacher, will be a permanent first-grade sub from March 18 until the end of this school year. Parents can contact Mrs. Birk via email at her school-issued account: [email protected]
Have an awesome week, and we will see everyone again at 8 am on Monday, March 18.
