August 18, 2021Please be aware that the street in front of church is undergoing repairs in two places, after some issues with water lines a few weeks ago.
The west driveway of the bell tower lot, which is normally used to exit, is blocked off while the concrete cures. You may park in the bell tower lot, but you will have to both enter and exit via the east driveway. Please be extra-cautious. You will be unable to drop a passenger at the side door of church under the porte-cochere as you will not be able to continue down that driveway.
At this point, it seems that it is possible to drop off a passenger in front of church, as the repairs there are to the sidewalk and not the street itself. We are told the sidewalk will be able to be walked on while it cures.
If you have any concerns, questions, or doubts about any of this, we encourage you to do a little reconnaissance or arrive early for Mass.
Mr. Sturgill has already communicated to school families, who will be dropping off their children Thursday and Friday by driving through the Parish Center lot. Because of the timing, it will likely not be possible to park on the Parish Center lot for 8:00 Mass.
We are told the concrete will be good to go early next week. Here's hoping.
