Pickleball is a paddle sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960s as a children’s backyard pastime but has become one of America’s most popular growing sports among all ages. Come join in the fun!
The game is usually played to a score of 11. The winning team must win by two points or play continues until one team wins by 2. Only the serving team can win a point.
If you’ve never played or you have but don’t recall the rules, here’s a youtube link introducing you to PB and the rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTvPYdKZqO0 It’s worth the watch!
