Thank you to the parishioners and school children of St. Stephen’s for your recent contribution of funds and your participation in our cast iron cookware drive.
In June we made a request to the parish for cookware to add to our shipment of 800 pounds of clothing, 1,000 pounds of beans and rice, and other humanitarian goods. Your generous response came very quickly and helped us to reach our goals. We now have nearly 70 cast iron items that include skillets, pots, Dutch ovens, and grill pans. These will be truly treasured by the villagers for years to come. Our shipment will soon be on its way to Honduras for those so in need in the remote, mountainous region we serve.
Our relationship with St. Stephen’s School began in 2018 with a presentation of our mission work to the school children and faculty. The resulting relationship has continued since then. We are very grateful to the faculty and children for their generous fundraising through the years. It has made such an impact for the poorest of the poor in Honduras. In addition, their enthusiastic response to our presentations propels us as we continue our mission efforts. God bless all of you for your kindness and partnership in this work.
