Friends of Honduras, which has been partnering with St. Stephen School for a number of years, is preparing a shipment of humanitarian goods for the remote villages that they serve in Honduras.
Cookware is an item of great need, and we are collecting cast-iron skillets, pots, and Dutch ovens. Villagers in this remote area generally cook over open fires, so cast-iron cookware is ideal for their purposes. Once we reach our collection goals, we will be shipping pallets of supplies at no cost through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which uses space available on U.S. military cargo planes.
Can you help by donating cast-iron skillets and cast-iron pots during the month of June? Bring donated cookware to the back of church. Please, only cast-iron items. Other materials are not suitable for an open fire.
Many thanks for your help! John (SSP ‘64) and Marilyn Hock Friends of Honduras FriendsOfHondurasSTL.org
