Greetings, parents, teachers, parishioners, and friends of SSP School,
Happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend! The calendar and events of the school and parish are bumbling down the tracks at breakneck speed, even though we are stomping on the air brakes, trying to enjoy each moment! Many things are coming at us in a hurry: Veteran’s Day (thanks to all who served, including the many Sturgills and Medellins in my clan!), another SVDP food drive, a warm coat drive( sponsored by Cardinal Glennon, SSP Alum, Karleigh Cotner, and the SSP NJHS) Progress Report time, the 8th grade play, Grandparents Day, Thanksgiving break, First Reconciliation, and the start of Advent preparing us for the Christmas season!
As a kid, I loved the Jetsons, but I did not know the prophetic effect it would have in my life when George Jetson slipped on the treadmill and asked Jane to stop this crazy thing! We are moving at a breakneck speed. I implore you to slow down, enjoy the moments, celebrate the little victories, and keep the faith!
I appreciate you! Have a wonderful weekend,
Greg Sturgill
