Dear parents, teachers, and friends of SSP school,
Happy Friday! We hope that you have a wonderful weekend planned and that you are able to enjoy an extra day of relaxation in observance of Presidents’ Day.
We had an interesting week! We appreciate the extra support and cooperation that you afforded us. Thank you to all those who helped us with the neighbor whose timely protests were expressed in a language not suitable for young eyes. We will continue to work in our efforts to be a good neighbor in our community. Thank you also to our families who showed great patience as we navigated getting our students home safely after a blast of inclement weather yesterday. It was wonderful to feel the warm sunshine again today.
Thank you to our teachers and students who served as honor guards at the conclusion of a funeral Mass this week. Mr. Liermann was a long-time parishioner who modeled for us how we can be the hands and feet of Jesus. The school community received many words of thanks and appreciation for this tender tribute!
Finally, it was fun seeing our students “dress for work” today. Most students took advantage of a dress-down day to dress for their future profession. We had many athletes, civil servants, first responders, and even some teachers and religious in our hallways today. Our future appears bright in the hands of our future leaders.
Big week again next week! The marquee event will be Archbishop Rozanski confirming our 7th and 8th grade students on Wednesday evening. As I was typing this cover note, a couple of activities popped up that are being finalized for next Friday. Mrs. Quinn will share that info with you in her beginning of the week parent reminders.
Have a great weekend; we will see everyone on Tuesday morning.
