Welcome to Advent! In this holy season, we prepare to receive Jesus with joy. So we are starting a new message series: “Share Your Joy”. During Advent, we can grow as Jesus’s friends by sharing our joy, our faith, with others. Here’s one way: invite someone to join us for Christmas. As everyone enters church today, we’re giving you a Christmas invitation, and it’s not for you. It’s for you to share with someone you know! We’ll use the Christmas schedule we used last year, because last year our celebration was so beautiful. On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, we’ll have Masses at 4pm at SJB, at 5pm at SSP, and at 10pm at IHM. On Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, we’ll have Mass at 8am at SJB and 10am at SSP. Here are Advent opportunities that can get you ready to share your joy. On Monday, December 9 we observe the Solemnity of Mary’s Immaculate Conception. Mary leads us to Jesus and is the patron of our country, so it is a Holy Day of Obligation, even though it’s on a Monday this year. Our reconciliation service will be on Tuesday, December 10 at 6:30pm at SSP. We’ll have extra priests hearing confessions at quiet adoration on Thursday, December 12 from 6pm to 8pm at IHM, and I’ll hear confessions at SJB at 6pm on Friday, December 13 during our time for rosary and adoration. May God bless you
