A big “Thank You” to everyone who came together to help make Christmas beautiful for our parish and our many guests. What a wonderful gift, to be able to pray together on that holy, joyful day, and to be able to give a warm, joyful welcome to people who decided to do something special for Christmas and give part of their holidays to God! I am especially grateful to our musicians, decorating teams, hard-working staff, servers, lectors, extraordinary ministers of the Holy Eucharist, and our hospitality teams!
If you’re here with us this Holy Family weekend, why not start the New Year in prayer with us, too? We have some exceptional opportunities for prayer connected to New Year’s Day. We’ll pray in the New Year with a Mass at Saint John the Baptist Church at 11:55 pm on December 31, New Year’s Eve. On January 1, New Year’s Day, Bishop Mark Rivituso, our auxiliary bishop, will come to celebrate Mass with us at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 8 am. Both of these Masses count for the Holy Day of Obligation in honor of Mary, Mother of God on January 1st.
