I hope you make a good plan to go to confession sometime during this season of Lent. Confession is one of the deep steady ways that I grow in Jesus’ love. I know God loves me because God keeps forgiving me, over and over. It is such a gift to have my sins go away, to be right with God again, and to to go forward with Jesus and the Holy Spirit into a new start. That gives me a deep hope that I can go to heaven one day, despite all the dumb things I do. Every week, we have confessions before the 4pm Mass on Saturday, after the 7am Mass on Sunday, and before the 10am Mass on Sunday. We also have confessions from 6pm to 8pm at IHM church each Thursday. And we’ll have extra opportunities for confession this Lent at our parish penance service at SSP church at 6pm on April 8 and at SJB church during Stations of the Cross at 6pm on April 11. I love going to St. Anthony of Padua Parish for confession. This Lent the friars have confessions at 3pm on Friday and Saturday. I’ve also been blessed by the priests of Saint Raphael Parish (7:30am - 7:50am Monday - Friday) and the retired priests at Regina Cleri (10 Archbishop May Drive, 63119; stop by anytime). If you are not Catholic, you are still welcome to visit me or any priest while we are hearing confessions. Just tell us that you’re not Catholic and what you’d like to talk about. We’ll listen well and give you a blessing. If you are Catholic and it’s been a while, check out the guide to confession later in this bulletin. God Bless You!
