Thanks to everyone who came to “Bother the Father: Scripture Edition”. It was really wonderful to spend time talking about God’s word. We’ll be scheduling another one, likely in February.
September 8-9 is a particularly great weekend to invite someone to come to Mass with you. We’ll have Fishpot Creek helping us pray at 4 p.m. Mass with their wonderful bluegrass music, fellowship after our Masses (donuts in morning!), and a new homily series that will be good for people just starting in their faith.
After my column where I talked about our Transition Team, we had some questions.
What is our Transition Team?
Our Transition Team are committed parishioners who gather to help me hear what parishioners are noticing, thinking, and saying. They give feedback on ideas and projects for the future. This team helps me notice opportunities and problems, and I am very grateful to them. I really enjoy our meetings, because the team members do such a great job of living our Transition Team values: Prayer, Honesty, and Hope.
Who is on our parish Transition Team?
David Borgmeyer (the SLU researcher, not the singing dentist), Elizabeth Cassmeyer, Sandy Gaydos, Brooks Goedeker, Meghan Hartzler, Holly Keisker, Stephen Kuehner, Jen Popiel, Debbie Solari, Deacon Dana Engelhardt, and Fr. Aaron Nord. How do I contact them?
Talk to them after Mass, email, or call. You can find their pictures and contact information here on our website.
