Happy Thursday and Happy Christmas Break-Eve … tomorrow I’m sure will be chock full of energy and excitement, I’d hate to forget to send the Final Notes of 2021 or for it to be lost in all of the excitement of the festivities.
I took some liberties by nominating our room parents STARS before the Christmas parties, but I have total faith in you! Welcome back to small school parties, building up to better times in the future. A late nomination is our 5th-grade musicians. Once again they held an impromptu concert on the blacktop. Last week's quartet turned into a full-blown concert band. They played Mrs. Lueke's request of Hot Cross Buns and my request of Good King Wenscelus.
There is also a time-sensitive reminder of the front page of the NOTES -- Basketball Uniform pick up is tonight and drop off for the fall sports uniforms.
Tonight is also First Penance for Grade 2. Please keep our second graders and their families in your thoughts and prayers tonight! Thank you to Ms. Block, Ms. Rone, and the pastoral staff for preparing our students for the reception of this sacrament.
This early note is also time-sensitive to remind parents that students may add a festival, Christmas-themed shirt, sweater, sweatshirt atop their uniform bottoms tomorrow. Accessories are also allowed, such as Christmas socks; have fun with the modified uniform tomorrow.
Final time-sensitive reminder: NOON dismissal tomorrow. Christmas break begins and classes will resume on Monday, January 3.
On behalf of all our very hardworking, dedicated teachers, the school support staff, and the rectory staff … we hope you have the most blessed of Christmas holidays, and may the miracle of Christmas enter into all of our hearts.
Advent Blessings,
Greg Sturgill
