I am joining St. Stephen this year as the 5th grade homeroom teacher. I also teach social studies to Grades 3-5. I feel very blessed to be joining a staff and community like St. Stephen!
I graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a bachelor's in elementary education. I also have endorsements in science, social science and language arts. I have 18 years of teaching experience within the St. Louis Archdiocese. I started my career at Sacred Heart Villa on the Hill, spent several years at St. Ambrose on the HIll, and most recently taught at Holy Child in Arnold. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. After transitioning to intermediate grades in the last few years, I've learned that is where I belong!
I grew up in South City and attended Our Lady of Sorrows School. I spent one year at Rosati-Kain High School and then moved to Affton, where I graduated. My husband, Josh, and I have been married for 15 years and have three children: Hunter, Reid, and Nora. We are parishioners of St. Catherine Laboure, where my children attend grade school. We also have a wild and crazy Weimaraner named Hudson!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, traveling, crafting, and driving my kids around to all their sporting events! I love watching Cardinals baseball and Blues hockey, but my favorite sport to play is volleyball!
I am so excited to start my new teaching journey at St. Stephen and get to know all of you!
