The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a group of men and women of the parish who volunteer their time to respond to the needs of people who live in our parish boundaries. These needs include items such as food, utilities, and other basic necessities such as beds, furniture, clothing, and various household items.
Our parish's St. Vincent de Paul group works in conjunction with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Greater St. Louis, which has additional ministries, the biggest of which is running nine thrift stores in the metro area. These stores provide low-cost furniture, clothing, and other household items. Profits from these stores fund numerous programs and assist the many parish SVDP conferences in the metro area. They also assist with referrals to other agencies.
In addition to assisting those in need with utility payments and such, we also help to staff, fund, and supply the ecumenical St. Trinity / St. Stephen / CCBF Food Pantry at 517 Koeln Ave., St. Louis, MO 63111. The pantry provides fresh produce and other staples to those who request help. Volunteers and food items are always welcome.
Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Rectory Meeting Room at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Campus.
How to join: If you are interested in joining this group, contact Barb Vineyard or the parish office: [email protected], 314-481-1133. The only member dues are a willingness to help our neighbors in need.
How to donate: Cash donations can always be made at the parish church or via our Online Giving platform. Each month that has a fifth Sunday has been designated as "Food Pantry Sunday." Boxes are available for food donations.
